Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 13, 2026

At OmeCam, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our virtual camera software application (the "Software"), visit our website https://omecam.store (the "Site"), and purchase licenses.

Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access the Site or download the Software.

1. Information We Collect

a. Personal Information

We collect certain personal information when you interact with our Services, including:

  • Email Address: When you purchase a license key or sign up for our newsletter/updates, we collect your email address. This is required to deliver your license keys, send renewal reminders, and provide customer support.
  • License Activation Data: During license key activation, our software sends a secure request containing your license key and a hashed hardware identifier (non-reversible representation of your device hardware structure) to confirm activation validity and enforce device limits.

b. Payment Information

We do not store or process your credit card or billing details on our servers. All financial transactions are securely processed by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com. Paddle collects your billing details, email, and payment card details in accordance with their privacy policy.

c. No Video or Audio Capture

CRITICAL PRIVACY GUARANTEE: The OmeCam Software processes all video streams, audio inputs, and media loops locally on your device. We do NOT capture, record, store, or transmit your camera feeds, audio recordings, or media files to OmeCam's servers. Your conversations and video chat streams are completely private and stay locally on your computer.

d. Usage and Technical Data

When you visit our Site, we may automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and website interaction logs, to analyze web traffic and improve Site performance.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To generate, deliver, and validate your Software license keys.
  • To provide customer support and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • To monitor and enforce license key usage limitations (e.g., prevent activation on more than the permitted number of devices).
  • To analyze Site traffic and optimize user experience.
  • To send important product updates, security alerts, and transaction receipts.

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, rent, or lease your personal information to third parties. We share information only with trusted service providers to run our operations:

  • Paddle.com: Our payment gateway and merchant of record. They handle payment information and legal checkout processes.
  • Hosting and Infrastructure Providers: Service providers like Supabase and Cloudflare that support our website database, API services, and file distribution.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

4. Data Retention

We retain your email address and license records for as long as your license remains active, and as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Technical logs are retained for short administrative periods.

5. Your Data Protection Rights

Depending on your location (e.g., European Union under GDPR, or California under CCPA), you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • The right to access the personal information we hold about you.
  • The right to request correction of inaccurate data.
  • The right to request erasure of your email from our records (which may deactivate your active licenses).
  • The right to restrict or object to certain processing activities.

To exercise any of these rights, please email us at support@omecam.com.

6. Security of Your Information

We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal information. However, no security system is completely impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee 100% security of data transmission over the internet.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your privacy.
